Two letters written to Fred Turner of Willimantic, Connecticut, giving recollections of each writer's memories of the town. Turner D. Bottome recalled Turner's father's drug store and installing lighting in the flour mill. He also sent along a newspaper article about himself from an Indianapolis newspaper. William L. Burdick was principal of Natchaug School and he recalled former students and a picture of him with presidential candidate Alf Landon. Burdick was at the University of Kansas. Also a small note written in pencil stating the someone "lived in the basement of the house that stood near the first street at the foot of Cary Hill, a little below the Dunham Library."
